Thoughts on the Virginia Tech shootings

Seeing all the media wordage swimming around the Virginia Tech shootings there's one thought that comes to mind. There's only two safe societies - one where no-one is armed, and one where everyone is. Given the choice, I'll plump for the 'no-one armed' choice every time.
